Day 01
International Airport / Kathmandu
Overnight flight to Kathmandu
Day 02
Kathmandu
Arrive Kathmandu in the afternoon. Transfer to the hotel ( rooms available from noon). Then the rest of the day is free. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 03
Kathmandu
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning, city tour of Kathmandu and the monastery of Swayambunath. Lunch in a local restaurant. Continue to visit the Patan and the Tibetan refugee centre. Dinner and overnight at the hotel
Day 04
Kathmandu / Pokhara
Early breakfast at the hotel. Then depart by road for Pokhara and arrive for a late lunch at the hotel. Continue to visit the Tibetan refugee camp , David Falls ( waterfall ), and the Old Market area. Dinner and overnight at hotel
Day 05
Pokhara
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for a four-hour hike through different ethnic villages of Chetri and Brahaman Gurung, and through rice fields with a superb view of the summits of Mount Annapurna, Macchapuchare and several other summits. Return to Pokhara for lunch at the hotel. Afternoon boat ride on Lake Phewa Tal and visit the Temple Barahi located on an island with a superb view of Mount Macchapuchare and other peaks of the Annapurna Range, the hills and forests. Dinner and overnight at the hotel
Day 06
Pokhara / Chitwan (Wildlife Sanctuary)
Breakfast at the hotel. Leave for Chitwan Wildlife Sanctuary. Stop for lunch enroute. Continue across the plains of the Terai and pass through the forest, villages and rice paddies. The plains and forest of the Terai with its tropical climate is especially good for the culture of rice, wheat, sugar cane, etc.. The terrai is mainly the country of the Tharu Tribe. Arrive Chitwan late in the afternoon Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 07
Chitwan Wildlife Sanctuary
Breakfast at the hotel In the morning, explore the jungle. Discover the famous one-horned rhinos, crocodiles and Magar Gharial species, migratory birds, wild boars, pheasants, monkeys, deer etc.. Visit a the village of a Tharu tribe. Take a ride on elephant back, and a ride in a canoe. Cultural Tharu programme in the evening. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 08
Chitwan / Kathmandu
Early breakfast at the hotel. Leave for long road journey to Kathmandu and arrive for a late lunch at the hotel Thereafter, the rest of the afternoon is at leisure. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 09
Kathmandu / International Airport
Breakfast at the hotel Morning, sightseeing of Pashupatinath and Bouddhanath Lunch in a local restaurant. "Rooms are available until noon" Afternoon at leisure for a last visit to the markets Then transfer to the airport for the return overnight flight.
Day 10
International
Arrival at destination.
